I'm a recent reader of Game Bytes (since issue #16). I can't believe how much information you guys cram into these issues! The game reviews are excellent! I haven't bought any news games without first consulting Game Bytes reviews. The interviews and other articles are also great reading. I especially enjoyed the Bug Hunt article. Great writing! And the screen shots of the games blows away anything on print. Looking forward to #20!

Thanks for the kind words, Michael. You've hit on exactly why we produce this thing. Sorry for the long delay getting #20 out to you. This move really threw us into a tizzy.

One comment, I really like the summary box of information at the top of each game review. However, I've noticed that some reviewers include a lot more information than others. For example, some reviews don't include sound devices supported. Also, could that summary include the "category" of the game? (Arcade; Simulation; Strategy; Sports; CD-ROM; etc.)

This is a good idea and while we preach this to our writers through our Game Bytes Writer's Guidelines, it's not always followed 100%. I like your idea about added the genre category listing to the summary too. Consider it added to the guidelines.

I can't wait to see Game Bytes on CD-ROM. I'm sure you guys will figure out a way to put animated screen shots in there along with some sound tracks from the games.

Yes, we've already developed some technology to produce very high- quality animation captures, full-screen. Now if we could only find a partner that would get the financing off the ground and get this started. The business aspect of this is turning out to be FAR more difficult than just putting together the technology to put it together. Thanks for reading.
