Dear Ross!

I read your perfect magazine from 1st issue, and must to say you thanks for it. BTW, did you think to include sound samples into issues? Quality of sound is not a last thing, then choosing the game...

Oleg,

Oh yes, we've considered a LOT of enhancements to Game Bytes, but unfortunately, most, if not all of them involve greatly increasing the size of the magazine beyond its already strained limits. In order to accomodate the sound samples you refer to, we've got to be headed towards the WWW and multimedia browers such as Mosaic and WinWeb. Also, a CD-ROM version of Game Bytes would accomodate sound samples, music, and even animation capture. The business side of this remains the biggest challenge.

And I would like to ask you help me a little. In 19th issue I've read about SoundMan Wave sound card by Logitech and want to buy it, if it really accessible for $186. Could you give me Internet address of guy, who written that article (Dave Masten), or (it whould be great!) tell me, how can I contact with Logitech from Ukraine. I understand, you haven't so much free time, but I just don't know, who could I ask about it?..

Excuse me for my English...

Always to your service

Oleg, I'd like to help you more but I don't know who distributes Logitech products in your country. I would suggest you call one of the following mail order distributors who handles International sales:

Multimedia Specialists - 1-608-233-8832
Mission Control - 1-201-783-3600 / FAX: 201-783-3686
Sideline Software - 1-305-491-9519 / FAX: 305-491-6134

That ought to get you started.

Unfortunately, Dave Masten has moved on to other things in his life and has not left a forwarding electronic mail address. Sorry 'bout that.

Thanks for reading Game Bytes.
