Here are some references, for those who expressed interest, on growing and/or
propagating wildflowers. Forgive the slant towards the midwest, but the
list would be *much* shorter if I tried to include all references, because I
would have given up long ago. Those texts with comments are ones that I have
personally read. Those with no comments are recommended from various sources
but I have not reviewed them. I can recommend each of the sources that I
have reviewed as being of value. I did find that a some texts will appear
less valuable if you read them too early in your learning curve. Later on,
you may find them to be more valuable as reference material. Anyway, have fun.
There are also some very interesting organizations who are interested in
wildflowers. I won't bother to try to gather a list, because most of them are
regional or for a particular state. However, for a start, try:

Clearinghouse of the National Wildflower Research Center
2600 FM 973 North
Austin TX 78725
512-929-3600

They have tons of good info. I talked to a young lady there that was *most*
interesting and helpful, but I won't tell you who. If you are interested in
finding out more, you will eventually discover who it is.
