I wrote this whole bio a little while ago, but I just decided to scrap it. You're welcome to strike up a conversation with me. Anyhow, there's nothing special or unique about this web page except stuff about me. I don't really have the time it would take to develop and maintain a page with a special focus, so you're stuck with stuff about me.

I graduated from NCSSM in 1999 and from UNC in 2003 with a double major in linguistics and German. I spent a wonderful year in Heidelberg in 2001-2002 and took a lot of computational and Germanic linguistics classes. While at UNC, I worked at PANIC in the physics department and at ibiblio.org. While I was abroad, I attempted to keep journal. I may still update it to include the end of the year, but I'm going to work on getting pictures up first.

I'm currently working on my Ph.D. in computational linguistics at Ohio State. I worked on a research project about finding and correcting errors in corpus annotation (DECCA) and my own research is related to syntactic annotation, data-driven parsing for freer word order languages, and intelligent computer-aided language learning. There is more information on my page at OSU.
