Directions to the the Great Hall at
UNC-Chapel Hill

First off, if you can't get to Chapel Hill on your own, drop us a note because we're thinking of trying to organize some carpools. Or if you're willing to drive a bunch of folks over.  If you need directions from elsewhere or further detail, drop us a note, or visit Mapquest.

FROM RALEIGH

I-40 to the 54/Chapel Hill exit. Keep straight on this road to the UNC Campus. As you near the campus, you'll drive up a hill. Keep straight through the light at the top of the hill. At the next light, the Union is the building across the street to your right (on the corner of Raleigh Rd and South St). >From Durham:

Take 15-501 to Chapel Hill. When this splits, take Franklin St. Go straight through the next 3 lights, up the big hill, then take a left at the 4th light onto Raleigh (aka Hillsborough) Rd. The Union is on the right corner of the 2nd light.

FROM OUT WEST

Take 40 to the Chapel Hill/86 exit, take a right. Stay on this road (Airport, then Columbia) until you hit campus. Eventually you'll be forced to turn right or left as Columbia becomes 1-way the wrong way. You can go left, go to the next light, hang a right and the Union is on the right corner of the next light.

The Union is next to Davis library, Student Stores, Lenoir (aka construction hell), and "the pit" so almost anyone on campus ought to be able to direct you if you get lost. Parking at UNC is a major pain so give yourself plenty of time to drive around and find parking. There's parking on South St, on the opposite side from the Union. There are also a couple lots off of Raleigh Rd. There's also parking on Cameron (1 block N of South St) and Franklin (2 blocks N).
