Synopsis

Dr. Chambless completed her Ph.D. with a dissertation on Grazia Deledda and a supporting program in film studies. After spending a year teaching at Duke University, she has returned to UNC-Chapel Hill, where she teaches courses in Elementary and Intermediate Italian Language, Modern Italian Culture, and Italian Cinema.

In her position as Lecturer, Dr. Chambless coordinates language courses in Italian and works closely with the Graduate Teaching Fellows who teach them. She has an ongoing interest in pedagogy and in applying instructional technologies to language courses.
