Re: Coal mining materials

Two contacts for you: Dr. Mary LaLone at Radford University, a professor in
the Anthropology Dept.; she has been recording oral and other histories on
South/Western Virginia coal miners & their heritage (540) 552-9706; also,
Robert Freis, President of the Coal Mining Heritage Association & publisher
of the Floyd Press, (540) 745-2127. Also, we have a permanent exhibit on
Coal Mining of the region as well as other resources through our N&W and
Virginian RR collections & their association with Pocahontas/western
Virginia coal, etc. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
