Archival Misnomers continued....

7. You can actually feed a family of four plus two cats on the salary of an
entry level archival position.

8. 99% of all archivists use buffered pain relievers and always keep
antacid on hand.

9. One of side efffects of deacidification is the relief of ulcers in the
archival profession.

10. Mass deacidification was invented by a Roman Catholic.

11. Geography influences choices in archival procedures and facilities
(thermal welding/encapsulation in Florida; cold storage in Canada).

12. Canadian archivists do not drink American beer.

13. American archivists do not watch hockey.

14. Joint meetings of the Michigan Archival Association and Archives
Association of Ontario consist of drinking Canadian beer and watching
American hockey (well that one could be true....Molson Export and the
Wings!!!!)

...additions welcome.....

Cheers!
