Map Storage
I have a collection of maps from the 1990s. I am wondering if anyone has
advice on how to store them. Some of them are made out of a plastic paper
(I think they may be referred to as vellum) and another set of the maps
appear to be some kind of negative or film. They are too big to store flat
in our map storage cases. My fear is that these materials will become
brittle and, over time, will become too brittle to unroll.
Has anyone dealt with these kinds of map materials yet?
Thanks,
Val
