They shouldn't just ask the governor the staff should know the governor's
staff by name and face. The governor doesn't know nor probably doesn't care
where the information comes from just so long as it arrives when needed. It
is up to the library staff to maintain proper statistics of their service to
the governor AND to equate it in dollars.

Call out the genealogists first. I suspect they are the biggest users.
Secondly when a request comes in from another state agency or legislative
office enlist that individual in the cause. Point out to them that this
service will no longer be available if the legislation passes.
I suspect that there is a deeper reason behind this legislation and that
needs to be uncovered.
