Get along, little doggie

Monday, September 20th, 2004

Due to complications from general anesthesia, Samantha the Pembroke Welsh Corgi passed away Friday, September 17th around 5PM. It was unexpected and her mom is heartbroken, as are we all. She was a good girl.
We will probably take her ashes up to the Lake and bury them on the property she loved most […]

Sam, the million-dollar dog

Sunday, September 19th, 2004

Well, we’ve had our first new house mishap, and unfortunately it’s not an easy hardware issue like a broken water pipe or some damaged fixture. It’s the Corgi.
Sam, aka Ms Princess Paws, the biggest drama queen dog ever who is generally too timid to take on a paper bag… blew out her knee. […]

John Leguizamo

Thursday, September 2nd, 2004

John Leguizamo is freakin’ hilarious. I caught his… dramedy show on HBO tonight. Parts of it aren’t what you’d really call comedy, as they’re about his family. His incredibly fucked-up family. His so-fucked-up-they’re-funny family.
It was so good I almost forgive him for Spawn.

Network, part deux

Thursday, September 2nd, 2004

With the assistance of the cat, I managed to get approximately half the network up and running. The
half that is on my machine, that is. The rest of it… dunno. Electronics are defeating me in this house. My TiVo lies dormant. It is very sad.
Maybe tomorrow. Tonight there needs […]

Bridesmaids no more.

Wednesday, September 1st, 2004

We’ve been going to the Hibernian for nigh upon a year now. On Tuesday nights, Nial, the owner, runs a mean game of pub trivia and the fries are great. We like the trivia because it’s random and really hard and, frankly, the man has a hotttttt accent. Also, there is Guiness.
Accent and […]

ObCatPost

Tuesday, August 31st, 2004

The cat is watching me type from the new perch just above and behind the computer’s moniter. It wasn’t where we had intended to put it, mostly as it’s in the dead center of the room, just a few feet in front of the wood stove. But from the moment we sat it […]

home sweet omigod finally home

Monday, August 30th, 2004

Cat is here, I am here, bed is here. And I got the network up with minimal assistance. Hell, even the majority of the major appliances are in and functioning. Woo.
There remain many boxes to be emptied. The old house is still grimy and containing a few odds and ends including […]

I hate teeth. I also hate packing.

Monday, August 23rd, 2004

The list of stuff to do “after I get done with all this shit” is getting very long indeed. Packing cannot happen fast enough, especially with 2/3 of the equation busy making moon-eyes at itself and sucking back endless sticks o’ death. And my fucking teeth hurt, which is really the thing about […]

3 teeth lighter.

Friday, August 20th, 2004

Once again I heartily endorse the theraputic use of narcotics. In the grand history of my family, I appreciate them not so much for their ability to remove pain, but for their ability to make one completely not give a shit. I held three of my teeth in my hands, and I didn’t […]
