Back from Nawlins, report later, once sleeping has happened. Before-bed exercise is… fiveish.

  1. What things did you enjoy as a child that you no longer do?
Playing hide-and-go-seek out by the streetlight until after dark almost every night in the summer. Mostly because we don’t have a streetlight here… also, I’m frequently still at work through dusk and well into dark.
  2. What things did you enjoy as a child that you still do today?
Writing stories to amuse myself… and noone else.
  3. What things do you do now, that the child you were never thought you’d like?
Smoke. As a child I was constantly hiding my dad’s cigarettes or harping on him to quit, because it was gross. Though I can’t say I like it now, really. It’s always been gross and still is. I don’t know why I go and do it anyway. Who does?
  4. If you could go back to one age and stay there for a while, what would it be?
Right around… 21 or 23, I think. I was naive and idealistic, and in the middle of getting myself into really big trouble, but too young and hopeful
to really realize it. I still thought life would work out just how I wanted it to.
  5. If you could fast forward to an age (you do get to come back!) for a while, what would it be?
Hmm. I guess I would fast forward to when I am really old, so I could check it out for myself and see if I really do regret not having kids “when I’m old”, like the political and evangelical right seems to think I will. Then I will know to run out and get knocked up, posthaste.
