Five.

  1. What sport do you most enjoy watching on television (or tolerate most)?

I can tolerate most any sport except for golf, baseball, or football. I love watching the Olympics, especially the soccer, swimming, gymnastics, archery, or any of the winter sports.

  2. If you could be really, really good at one sport (we’re talking world elite here), what would it be?

Probably soccer. I would have loved to have been truly great.

  3. Have you ever been active in some form of sports?

Yeah. You could never tell it now by looking at me, but I earned quite a few varsity letters back in my day. (Now that I’m 30, I have to work in phrases like ‘back in my day.’)

  4. Would you rather be a computer geek or a sports geek?

    Um, both?

I was captain of the swim and tennis teams as well as vice president of the science club. I think I covered both geekdoms. (Our tennis time sucked, our swim team was average, our soccer team was good, but the science team went to nationals. So there.)

  5. What teams do you cheer for?

I don’t really cheer so much as begrudgingly and occasionally check the sports scores on the web. Back in the day, I rooted for Duke (even while an undergraduate at Carolina–yeah, I live dangerously) and the Pistons (Isiah Thomas). When Chris Mullin was with the Warriors, I sort of cheered for them for a while, but I couldn’t bring myself to pull for the Pacers. Or the Warriors without Mullin. I never really followed (or cared) about football. Baseball–same deal, only with much less of the caring.
