Fivvvvvvveeugh. Seriously.

And, really, the five seems to be getting… boring-er. One might ask why I’m still answering it then. Not sure. Because it’s there? Because it’s one of the ways to ease my brains into the weekend? Because it was a habit, and fun? Because I can’t think of anything else to write? Likely the latter. Occupied with other things.

  1. What is your preferred trusted news source?

I read Salon most often, but not so much for the factual stories. For straight news, it’s Google news all the way. It’s the easiest way to survey the entire landscape, read both sides of the issue, and see what the answer in the middle seems to be.

  2. What is a news source that you will never trust?

Fox news is frequently very, very off-base. And I’m fairly certain everything that comes out of Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, or Bill O’Reilly is pure unadulterated shit. No matter which end it comes out of.

  3. What is the news topic during the last calendar year that you feel got the worst coverage?

Hm. Terry Schiavo, probably. The number of factually inaccurate, asininely juvenile bleeding-heart editorials made me want to scream.

  4. What news item do you feel got too much coverage in the last calendar year?

Mmmmm. Probably that runaway bride. God, give the crazy lady some room to breathe, ok?

  5. If you had complete control of your favored news source(s) (answer to question 1), what would you do with it that is not already being done?

Huh, I would try to join the staff, first off. If it was a world of infinite possibilities, I’d somehow make it more profitable without sacrificing quality or integrity. Without destroying the evolution of the free press.
