Welcome home, Dorien.
He’s currently asleep under the guest room bed–he’s content to come out if I go into the room, but still finds comfort in a hidden spot when he’s alone. He’s a tiny grey thing in the middle of the blanketsand toys, but his bell gives him away. He is alert and friendly, has the loudest purr I’ve ever heard and generally seems to be lovely and lovable.
He’s quick and fearless. He greets everyone by racheting up the purr and rubbing up against them. He enjoyed a visit from friends. He’s wary of AllCats, but not terribly so. They’ve sniffed, they’ve each hissed (and, god, but his hiss is so… *tiny* Eeee!), but neither has puffed up or gotten terribly upset. Mostly it’s just hard keeping them apart. I look forward to a time when they can hang out together. I don’t think it will be very long, if the curiousity factor is any indication.
I am doling out attention equally, in an attempt to keep harmony. But The Kitten is not all that interested in my love: she’s mostly staking out the door in the hopes that I’ll open it up again and she can check out the tiny creature inside.
The boy has already figured out if he feels threatened by the bigger kitty, to run to me. He’s also discovered his food, water, and litterbox. The plush cup-shaped bed still requires some careful sniffing. I think this cat is definitely a possibility for one of Wendy’s felted cat beds. He also has a weird love of drinking straws. J will have to share the supply.
Well, ok. This is new. And so far, so good. Though this candle party’s gonna be… interesting.
Pictures to come later, once I’ve mucked around with the camera phone, convinced somebody to bring over their digital, or hauled out the print camera and gotten film processed. Whichever comes first.
Besides, this much cute can’t possibly translate into a 2-dimensional image. You have to see this business for yourself. (Call for appointments.)

Come visit! Bring a lawnmower and a change of clothes. We can work, then shower, then cover ourselves in kittens!
Next Saturday?
