This group of photos is also from B.B. King's 1974 visit to Yale. He spoke to an Afro-American Studies class there about what it was like to grow up in the Mississippi Delta and not have the kind of education that they were receiving. He had dreamed of having the Blues as part of the university curriculum. Today, Yale University, the University of Mississippi, the University of North Carolina and others have classes that study the Blues. B.B. King returned to Yale a second time and received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
