I just spent the morning getting eclipse all set up with the oXygen plugin, and with lepido, a wonderful tool for editing cocoon sitemaps. You can even run cocoon’s jetty from inside eclipse, so you can use the eclipse debugger for all your cocoon related debugging needs. Now I just need to get subclipse running.
Thanks to Kevin, who suggested I use Qexo to run xqueries in ant without having to use eXist. It works!
First, download the qexo .jar file and put it somewhere useful. To run an xquery on the command line, do this:
java -jar kawa-1.8.jar –xquery -f author.xquery
where author.xquery is:
for $b in (doc("file:./ac-angeli.nd497.r8.a774.rad.xml")/ram)
Tim Finney from the University of Virginia Press did a great presentation for the Charlottesville Unix Users Group Tuesday night.
