Library 2.0 Initiatives in Academic Libraries – it’s available!
There’s more than one reason I’m excited about the newly published Library 2.0 Initiatives in Academic Libraries. The most selfish reason is that Bethany Nowviskie, Erik Hatcher and I have a chapter about NINES / Collex / Blacklight in it. The chapter was a lot of fun to write, and I think it turned out really well. Plus it’s my first book chapter, so I’m still in the giddy-to-see-my-name-in-print phase.
But I’m just as excited about the other projects described in the book. There are some amazing new developments happening in academic libraries these days. I can’t even keep up with the stuff I hear about through code4lib and ngc4lib.
I think this looks like a neat book, and if you’re interested in this whole library 2.0 thing, it might be worth asking your library to purchase a copy for your collection. (I don’t make any royalties off sales, I promise!)
