Library 2.0 Initiatives in Academic Libraries – it’s available!

Library 2.0 book cover There’s more than one reason I’m excited about the newly published Library 2.0 Initiatives in Academic Libraries. The most selfish reason is that Bethany Nowviskie, Erik Hatcher and I have a chapter about NINES / Collex / Blacklight in it. The chapter was a lot of fun to write, and I think it turned out really well. Plus it’s my first book chapter, so I’m still in the giddy-to-see-my-name-in-print phase.

But I’m just as excited about the other projects described in the book. There are some amazing new developments happening in academic libraries these days. I can’t even keep up with the stuff I hear about through code4lib and ngc4lib.

I think this looks like a neat book, and if you’re interested in this whole library 2.0 thing, it might be worth asking your library to purchase a copy for your collection. (I don’t make any royalties off sales, I promise!)
