When he was teaching at GTS, Wallace pointed out an instructive analogy
of the participle assuming the mood of the lead verb: "Arising, take the
young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt..." (Mat 2:13). Of course,
Joseph's obedience "by night" indicates that he took the "arising" as
"Get up!" rather than "When you get up...."
