I would vote for "reflecting" or "mirroring" precisely because KATOPTRON is
such a regular word for "mirror" (although ESOPTRON is found for it in 1 Cor
13:12). KATOPTRIZOMAI ought therefore to mean "function as a mirror (for)."
Of course, on the other hand, things ain't always what they oughta be.
