Re: Best Passages to Read after 1st Year Greek

The German Bible Society did some work on this, they were claiming the rights to that, and it's not easy to segregate it from the rest. This is interesting to hear. I don't understand how the University system works in the US, but my experience in Australia has lead me to believe that pretty much a...

Re: Best Passages to Read after 1st Year Greek

It would still need to be hand-corrected if you want it to be accurate. I am pretty sure a clean, morphologically tagged LXX will exist within the coming year or so. If you want to help with that, we should talk. That is super exciting! Although my focus of all my spare time has been on Scripturial...

Scripturial App for learning Biblical Greek

Although it's still a work in progress, I feel like I am finally ready to share/announce the Biblical Greek app I have been working on for a while now. It is my own attempt to create a modern mobile phone based Biblical Greek learning app. I've been testing it with a range of people and relatives, a...

Re: Best Passages to Read after 1st Year Greek

This site looks very promising, Jacob. I've done a little digital flashcard work with Anki, so like the concept. The listings for the vocab frequency per chapter/passage look like they will be helpful. My LXX vocab skills aren't as good, so I will be glad of the help for that part also. Thanks for ...

Re: Zoom discussion groups of Greek linguistics

I like the idea of this type of zoom group. I'd definitely try to participate if someone starts something like this.

Re: Best Passages to Read after 1st Year Greek

I am just seeing this now, I realize the original post is from 2015. I did something similar recently, but I used the vocabulary from Black's textbook as a basis for calculating a students ability to read a text, rather than a pure "most common words". I color coded it in an attempt to mak...

Biblical Greek Mini Stories

I have been practicing Koine Greek composition and recording short "mini stories" designed to provide comprehensible input for beginners, and uploading audio for the text onto youtube. Sharing it here in case it might be helpful for anyone. https://biblicaltext.com/study/biblical-greek-min...

Re: Koine Reading Group on Reddit

One year on, I’m interested to hear your reflections on how it went in terms of interest levels and value of these types of things in a free open forum. I vacillate between seeing such activities are super valuable and other times being utterly depressed about low interest. So I’d love to hear your ...

Re: Biblical Greek Dictionary and Parsing Practice App (iOS)

I just want to make sure you know about James Tauber's work, specifically https://github.com/jtauber/greek-inflexion and https://github.com/jtauber/greek-accentuation Thanks for sharing. I only recently found out about the learner texts project, its very cool. The Greek Inflection and accentuation ...
