Re: Theos?

τὴν θεὸν at Acts 19.37 is interesting.

Re: Hello - return to bgreek

Oh yes... ;-)

I know that what I'll be doing in my teaching won't quite (!) satisfy some folk - but I think I can learn lots from them, even if we can't replicate what they've achieved. With my change of focus I'm reading more of the stuff on pedagogy here and it's already helpful.

Bryant, Clay, Barry

If you're willing to sign up for Lexham press newsletter then you can have a free copy of Baugh's ECC as a pdf or as a free Logos book. I'm a dabbler in these things but I found his comments on cola in the introduction fascinating.

Hello - return to bgreek

Hello again, Returning to B-greek after a break of a year or two, and really since my last sojourn was fairly brief, it's been years. New context: now I'm an instructor in New Testament at a small seminary in South East Asia. Unexpected role: I'm going to teach Greek! Not something I had especially ...

Jeffery right about the other software too. It's easy to suppress the referencing system entirely in accordance also. Like Jeffery I've also frequently led bible studies in english with all the "paratext" stripped out. It helps folk to get beyond textual "atomism". In the early years of formal instr...

Re: ...Nestle-Aland, UBS, or something else...?

If I may put in my 2c. If you can get a free copy of the Greek NT on your computer do learn how to be able to copy and paste it into various formats (word documents, emails, web pages like this) and learn how to be able to type it. There are high quality portable and free options out there! I found ...

Glad you worked out how to make better use of perseus. I don't really use it enough. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quicker than I have. There are I'm sure some perseus 'guns' out there in b-greek-world. It's one of those goldmines that are worth getting to know.

Re: An accusative absolute ? [Mk 3, 15var] [W 032]

At http://epapers.bham.ac.uk/1664/1/Bezae%2DLatin.xml You can find a transcription of the entire latin text of Codex Bezae. Don't know if that is of any help? The relevant section from there is (sorry line numbers and verse numbers got a bit jumbled): 1813et ascendit in montem · et uocauit ad se quo...
