Re: 3 Corinthians, adding accents and punctuation marks

FWIW, a quick Google search for "θ ε conflation scribal errors" brings up this: https://zooniverseancientlives.wordpress.com/2013/05/06/scribal-error-in-biblical-manuscripts/ ::SNIP:: Indeed, not a bad response from ChatGPT. Can also include the phonetic itacisms and like-sounding or writ...

Re: 3 Corinthians, adding accents and punctuation marks

Are there images of BP10 anywhere? Would be great to actually check up on this, as I'm not fully convinced the transcription is reflective of the text in the manuscript (ΑΝΝΩΝ whilst could be dittography for the double Ν, the dot underneath the second N in the other transcription I've found makes me...

Re: 3 Corinthians, adding accents and punctuation marks

I personally think εριξ is either a transcription error or spelling error for θριξ. If you look at this image of P72 for instance (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/38/Papyrus_Bodmer_VIII.jpg/1920px-Papyrus_Bodmer_VIII.jpg - I am assuming it's the same copyist for BP10), you can...

Re: 3 Corinthians, adding accents and punctuation marks

I think that might actually be the nomen sacrum ΑΝΩΝ for ἀνθρώπων (as there's a few nomina sacra not filled out in the initial transcription: ανπου (ἀνθρώπου), Χρν (Χριστὸν), Ιην (Ἰησοῦν) etc). Εἴ τις παραβαίνει ταῦτα τὸ πῦρ ἐστι μετ’ αὐτοῦ… οὕτως προοδυπόρ…μαθητῶν ἀνθρώπων. If anyone transgresses t...

Re: Gonis - The Rendel Harris Papyri Volume III (£100)

My interest is practically anything to do with ancient papyri (especially those yet to be published, of which there's an awful lot) and what the contents can tell us. Also of interest to me is palaeography, with mostly looking for those papyri which can be accurately dated based on other criteria. I...

Re: Feedback on criteria for posting books here

I think anything relating to Greek that's non-koine is still highly relevant, so will be happy to see any and all books relating to Greek works, regardless of era. :)

Re: Feedback on criteria for posting books here (update S Walch)

Perhaps it would be good to have one topic per book price range? So an open access topic to post new open-access books on; a topic for those books under £/$/€100; a topic for those books over £/$/€100? Updates on the topics would still show (plus you can put a new subject title in, and it'll appear ...
