Re: Diapantos
But I tried pasting "Diapantos" into the search box, and doing a search, and it looks like I'll need to get some kind of Greek font software to do that? Could someone give me a brief definition? Does it mean without interruption, or without end? "Adv., later spelling of διὰ παντός&qu...

Re: παρακαλεῖσθε
Could it be Englished as "continue letting yourselves be comforted?" The more I read Greek and these kind of "emphasized" or "nuanced" translations the more I feel those translations are misleading. If Paul would have wanted to say "continue doing so" he woul...

Re: Ephesians 5:25
In this case the most natural explanation is contrastive topic, as Stephen says, and because moving from one topic to another by putting the topic first in the sentence is natural and normal, it doesn't get any special "emphasis". ... And the rest is focus. It's after the topic, as is com...

Re: Ephesians 5:25
In a pragmatic / discourse / information structure analysis, it is best to avoid the term "emphasis," altogether in favor of more precise terms such as "topic," "focus," etc. In this case, I would say that Eph 5:25 οἱ ἄνδρες, ἀγαπᾶτε τὰς γυναῖκας (as punctuated by NA27...

Re: Vocabulary by Author Group
Maybe someone can help further... Never mind... You can create a filter: select the lemma column, create Standard filter, field name comes from the first row, change Value to Not empty, open More options, add No duplication. OK. These may work directly only with certain versions of the spreadsheet ...

How could I go about generating such lists? I have used MorphGNT data and simple unix tools (on linux). But now I can't find the MorphGNT text... "There isn't a GitHub Page hosted here, sorry." See http://jtauber.com/morphgnt/. Can someone help? James? If we find it, I can give further ad...

Re: Are there any Greek online TV programs?
I would have listened Bill Mounce's audio lectures but had to stop after the first minutes because I couldn't stand his pronounciation... Just to make sure: of course I have nothing against Mounce or the work he's doing – on the contrary. English speakers are free to pronounce as they want to, but ...
