Re: Verb catalog - lexical aspect
Stephen & Jonathan -- Thanks for the interaction. First, realize I zapped off my first response in a spare two minutes (literally) before I left the office yesterday because I knew if I didn't do it then, I wouldn't do it. The reference list from 1Clem probably has some bad examples (results fro...

I'm also fearing to tread, but have a question about οραω. While it does mean "to see" and I can see how this is an activity; there are also places where it is used to mean something like "understand" or "agree", kind of in the same way as we'd say, "Don't you see?...

Re: Rijksbaron and the Greek New Testament
Rijksbaron has been on my mental "yes, I need to read that" list for a long time. I'm interested, but don't know the degree I'd be able to interact. I have a feeling my intentions aren't an accurate reflection of my eventual participation. Is there a reason for limiting to Greek NT? Couldn...

Re: Supplemental Lexicon of the Septuagint
Or will Chamberlain's Lexicon be useful for supplementing not only BDAG and LSJ but LEH as well? My impression is that Chamberlain's lexicon is intended for those who have BDAG but not LEH or Muraoka's lexicon. I guess I'll just have to find out by picking random words in Logos LXX and see how Cham...

Re: ἐνεστερνισμένοι
1 Clement has the word ἐνεστερνισμένοι which should be the nom pl masc aor mid ptc of ἐνστερνίζω. Problem is, I can't find a definition for ἐνστερνίζω anywhere - at least among the resources I have access to. Checked BDAG, Intermediate Lexicon, and searched Perseus. Anyone happen to know this word?...

I've posted another online Reader, this time for Ignatius to the Romans: http://www.greekingout.com/new-testament-greek-resources/ignatius-to-the-romans-online-reader/ You can also use this nifty tool by Logos Bible Software's Rick Brannan to look up specific verses in the Apostolic Fathers collect...

Re: δε and ἀλλα
Hi David. I think both Eeli and Barry's responses are helpful. I agree with Eeli, Steve Runge's stuff is very helpful in understanding the primary functions of the most commonly used conjunctions (instead of just associating an at times unhelpful gloss with each of them). A few years back, while in ...

But then again, the Logos BDAG, etc. does not have page numbers Actually, the Logos BDAG does have page numbers embedded. In Logos, these can be displayed inline with a "visual filter". In Logos 4, go to the three-interlinked-circles icon (the visual filters supported in the resource) in ...
