Re: βλασφημείσθω
Glad you worked out how to make better use of perseus. I don't really use it enough. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quicker than I have. There are I'm sure some perseus 'guns' out there in b-greek-world. It's one of those goldmines that are worth getting to know.

Re: An accusative absolute ? [Mk 3, 15var] [W 032]
At http://epapers.bham.ac.uk/1664/1/Bezae%2DLatin.xml You can find a transcription of the entire latin text of Codex Bezae. Don't know if that is of any help? The relevant section from there is (sorry line numbers and verse numbers got a bit jumbled): 1813et ascendit in montem · et uocauit ad se quo...

Re: βλασφημείσθω
Hi again Mike, I think you're doing just fine. You know the saying that goes something along the lines of "Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for life" or whatever it is. Well I'm guessing that b-greek's task is to "teach" rat...

Since you're on this forum I'm guessing you have access to the internet? (1) Follow the link above to Perseus (2) Copy and paste the greek word in unicode (you can just do it from my post for instance) (3) Search in the greek word study tool (4) Hit the "show lexicon entry in... LSJ" link ...

The current edition of Bauer in english is not freely available online - BDAG (Bauer-Danker-Arndt-Gingrich) 2000/2001 Uni Chicago Press, though digital editions of it are available. Neither, as far as I am aware, are its two precursors, BAGD (1979) and BAG (1957). They are all well within copyright,...

Re: Conjugation of "forgive" in 1Jn 1:9
My electronic text of Smalley has its own textual issue at this point, but it is fairly clear that he's made an error re. the parsing (not conjugating) of the verb. He's not got another text in front of him.

Re: John 8:33 Antecedant of "they"
Focussing on the forest might take us out of b-greek. When I think of this text from John 7-8 I note that one of the earliest refs to faith in John is 2.23-25.Iver Larsen wrote: This is what I mean by looking at the forest rather than the trees only.
