Koine Greek - Colloquial Hebrew consonantal correspondences

Post by Stephen Hughes »

How closely do the Hebrew and Greek consonants map onto each other, what simplifications or complexities might have arisen because of differences between them?

What evidence isthere for mapping of the one onto the other? Is it significant for our understanding of Biblical Greek? Are there any suggestions that other understandings of Greek are possible because of this?

Is the mapping of consonsant in the geneaology list, other names and place names that we can see consistent in their rendering of Greek from Hebrew?
