Hello everyone. My name is Alexey. I'm a programmer from Russia. My hobby is to solve problems with keyboard input for ancient languages. Here in Russia we have Orthodox Church, where the christians pray in old Church Slavonic language. Not so old as Koine, but enough to make headache for computer writing. There are a lot of diacritics and ascending strokes. Two greeks developed this alphabet for us more than thousand years ago. Guess what a language they have taken as a prototype. Sinse that we have got the same problems with input.

To write in Church Slavonic one must know a lot of seventh chords on keyboard. If you are not a jazz guitarist, you have a serious problems. Looking at these torments Ι created the special tool one day - the editor I called Slavonic. The idea seemed to be so successful that I decided to give a helping hand to our greek brothers and apply the same method for Ancient Greek. There were only two problems - the lack of knowledge in Koine to create a program and the lack of ancient greeks for feedback. So it seems that B-Greek can to solve both of them.

You can find the online demoversion here http://slavonicpro.ru/polytonicEn.html, in Software section of this forum I created a special branch about it.

Χριστὸς ἀνέστη!
