My name is Arjan van Eersel. Originally from the Netherlands, but living in Bulgaria for 7 years already.
I recently started to learn biblical Greek with the purpose to get out of a situation which I call "lost in translation". Often when I read same part of the bible in Dutch (my native language), English or Bulgarian I come to the conclusion that the translations have a different context, sometimes it's a slight nuance, sometimes in a particular translation the context seems to be taken very far away.
I hope that by learning biblical Greek to get much better understanding of what the actual meaning and context is. I'm sure it's a long road ahead of me, but I'm quite motivated to take this challenge.
