An Easter greeting (a week early for the Orthodox)

Perhaps ἑστάκαμεν "(now) we are standing" or ἀνιστάμεθα "we are being raised" or ἀνεστάθημεν "we were raised"

Sorry ἑστήκαμεν. I don't use the prefix here because standing after being raised is different from the raising. I have probably strayed theologically and confused the terms ἐγείρω and ἀνίστημι.

I assumed that Paul meant to say, "He has risen; indeed we (too) shall rise" -- but the form "ἀναστηθάμεθα" seemed a bit, shall we say, "ἰχθυόεσσα"?

The forms for ἀνίστασθαι in the sense "rise up" or "rise from the dead" are: pres: ἀνίστασθαι; fut: ἀναστήσεσθαι; aor. ἀναστῆναι/ἀνασταθῆναι; pf. ἀνεστηκέναι -- the form ἀνασταθήσεσθαι is not attested. The form for "we shall rise" is ἀναστησόμεθα.

The forms for ἐγείρεσθαι in he sense "rise up" or "rise from the dead" are: pres: ἐγείρεσθαι; fut: ἐγερθήσεσθαι; aor: ἐγερθῆναι; pf: ἐγρηγορέναι/ἐγηγέρσθαι. The form for "we shall rise/be raised" is ἐγερθησόμεθα.

ἅ ἅ. Good one, Carl.
Yes, I was "fishing" for the right form there and landed a μορφήν ἰχθυόεσσαν.

ἅ ἅ or ἇ ἇ, to express laughter, ha, ha,
ἰχθυόεις, εσσα, εν, (ἰχθύς) full of fish, fishy
