How to search forums for an exact string of words ?

Hi ya,

I wanted to search for "Corpus Linguistics and the Greek of the New Testament" and could not get the search to do that. (I know it occurs at least once thanx to google.) Even the advanced search where you can click "Search for all terms or use query as entered" didn't do it. I could not find a syntax guide to the search either. Is there one somewhere ? And failing that, how would I do the search I was after ?

Thx
D

Maybe there's a better way, but I use Google.
In the search box, type...
site:ibiblio.org
...followed by a string in quotes.

E.g.
site:ibiblio.org "Corpus Linguistics and the Greek of the New Testament"

Here's the result:
https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3A ... e&ie=UTF-8

From a 2012 post by Jonathan Robie, it looks like I'm right.

Use Google's site search

site:ibiblio.org ["search string"]

Here are some tricks with Google's site search.

OR operator.
Google accepts the OR search operator. This can be useful. E.g.
Search for a particular B-Greek member's comments on a topic:
Include the user name in the string. E.g. -pipermail and "b-greek"
Putting a dash in front of a word tells Google "Don't return results for this." In the case of -pipermail, it excludes any results with the word "pipermail" in the result, effectively cutting out the old B-Greek listserve forum. When searching for that post from Robie, I used "-pipermail" because I knew there was an answer in this newer phpBB forum.
Adding "b-greek" will give you more specific results with non-greek search words, since ibiblio.org has other forums.
