λέγω: the stem ρρέ and ῥηθὲν

Hello, my dear friends. I have a doubt.
I found the 6th principal part (aorist passive indicative) of λέγω is ἐρρέθην/ἐρρήθην (billmounce.com); so, the stem is ρρέ/ρρή.
So, my question is this: what's happening with the double consonant ρρ in ῥηθὲν (with rough breathing, from Matt. 1:22 NA28, participle neuter).
Best regards!
Paul.
