What are the various nuances of the words used of "keeping (to)" a tradition?1 Corinthians 11:2 wrote:καὶ καθὼς παρέδωκα ὑμῖν τὰς παραδόσεις κατέχετε.
κατέχειν - (1 Corinthians 11:2)
κρατεῖν - (Mark 7:3,8; 2 Thessalonians 2:15)
στῆναι - (Mark 7:9 UBS-NA)
τηρεῖν - (Mark 7:9 Byz.)
Am I right in thinking that this is a significant, rather than simply a conventional collocation here? That is to ask whether the Apostle deliberately used the word for some identifiable purpose.
