Croy 1999 vs 2011

Post by Emma Ehrhardt »

Does anyone know what the differences are between the 1999 and 2011 versions of Croy's text (https://www.eerdmans.com/Products/6733/ ... greek.aspx) are? My google skills are failing to answer whether these are just separate printings or actually different editions with distinct content.

Thanks!

The cover is certainly different. My own copy has the olive green 2011 cover, while the older ones have a (bluer) jungle green cover. As for the content, the copyright on mine is 1999. My copy also had a CD-ROM (which I've misplaced), which is probably another difference. The pagination may differ as well.

All I'm concerned about is that vocab & chapter ordering/content haven't changed. So if copyright on 2011 says 1999, that sounds like just a reprint. Thanks, Stephen.

On this age of houses making minor tweaks to the textbooks they publish, calling it a new edition to boost sales, I applaud Eerdman's idea of reprinting the older volume, while at the same time giving supplementary material in .pdf format. Even the originally purchased edition increases in value.
