Bunning - Statistical Restoration Greek New Testament (SRGNT)

The Statistical Restoration Greek New Testament (SRGNT) is the first computer-generated text de-rived directly from the earliest manuscript witness-es using an algorithmic statistical model to simulate a reasoned-eclecticism approach, weighing both external and internal evidence in an objective manner. The external evidence is based on statis-tical reliability, earliness, and diversity of support, and the internal evidence is based on word probabilities within a variant unit and consideration of variant patterns. This process provides a consis-tently-weighed text without theological bias that is both scientifically inspectable and reproducible, and yet still has close agreement to our best mod-ern critical texts.

I see that someone else beat me in announcing my own text! Yes, a printed copy of the Statistical Restoration Greek New Testament (SRGNT) is now available at the publisher’s cost (I make no royalties) at https://glossahouse.com/products/statis ... ment-srgnt. The text is released under an open license and can be downloaded at https://github.com/Center-for-New-Test ... oration/SR. The printed version also comes with a paired down version of the CNTR Universal Apparatus. For those who have been waiting for more details, the technical paper on how it was created is slated to be published in TC: A Journal of Biblical Textual Criticism, which is supposed to be due out sometime next month.

I went to the github link but did not find the file. Can you walk me through the steps?

The github website only has the text right now (not the apparatus) in several different formats. The SR.txt file there would probably be the easiest to work with for most people.

You should be able to click on the SR.txt, and then that should bring up the text. From there, you can click on the Download raw file icon, and it should start a download.

I had to click on View Raw first, then right click to Save As, but it worked. Thanks. Do you have an estimate on when the apparatus will be available for download?
