Hello,
I'm Solomon. I work on a translation project that serves a dear group of people in Kenya. I grew up here in the dairyland state, studied linguistics and Greek at Moody, and a few miscellaneous and small grad studies in linguistics at other schools (as a part of SIL's certificate program). I consider myself a beginning exegete, rather than a (beginning) linguist. Though I have more training in linguistics, I have more experience in exegesis, and am more comfortable there. And my course in Semantics planted seeds I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of. (my poor friends!)
Part of my current assignment is to nurture my competency in Koine Greek, particularly my communicative/conversational competency.
I've found Dr. Buth's materials helpful, and am grateful to be a part of this forum.
Go Brewers!

Hi Solomon,
We were at Moody together. Welcome. Where'd you do your certification?
GIAL? North Dakota?

Both. Very good memories. You?
Re: Solomon Powell
I was at GIAL 2007-2008 and I've been working on my MA at CANIL at Trinity Western University since 2010. I'm finishing this spring and then we'll be looking toward getting an assignment.
