Just in case anyone wants in, I've typed out the text of the preliminary exercises:

## Preliminary Exercise 1

a. The wise man pursued the stranger.

c. to pursue (viewed as a process)
d. The stranger was being pursued by the wise man.
e. The wise man was not pursuing the stranger, because he was dying.

Including only the ones not in the answer key. I think I've come to the conclusion that I don't like ἀποθνῇσκω.

Exercise 1

j. The wise man will be pursued by the stranger
ὁ σοφὸς ὑπὸ τοῦ ξένου διωχθήσεται.
k. to be dying
ἀποθνῄσκειν
l. The stranger did not pursue the wise man because he had died.
ὁ ξένος τὸν σοφὸν οὐ ἐδίωξεν ὅτι ἀπέθανεν.
m. The wise man used to be pursued by the stranger.
ὁ σοφὸς ὑπὸ τοῦ ξένου ἐδιώκετο.
n. The stranger is being pursued by the wise man.
ὁ ξένος διώκεται ὑπὸ τοῦ σοφοῦ.

ἀποθανεῖν.
