This statement is wrong. Fee is not a loan wolf. Just a wolf* perhaps :-).

I was led astray by two things. First, Metzger just ignores this issue
in his textual commentary (1st ed.). Second, most of the authorities I
cited were published before P46 was available. Even Alford notes the
variant, but decides to leave GAR in his text. I am not sure that P46
really adds much to the weight of evidence, but again this is a question
for others who specialize in this field.
