Time for me to jump out on that limb again....

I think that Hebrews is full of Semitisms.  I think that here the underlying
preposition is (Heb.) 'le' (to, for, on behalf of...), and that the Greek
rightly renders it with the near equivalent eis.  But (Heb) 'le' being a tad
broader than eis can mean "for"-  

Thus, eis in the above verses should be understood as "for".
