Let me describe the three words we used for this concept in James 1 so I
can get your reaction. We need to know if we are on the right path.

In James 1:16, there is the form of PLANAW, which is sometimes
translated deceive. (Cf 1 John 1:8.) For this word, we used a word
meaning, "to go out," which includes the concept of leaving an assigned
path.

In James 1:22, the root form is PARALOGIZOMAI. Here we used a word
meaning, "to deceive by talking convincingly."

Finally, in James 1:26, the root form is APATAW. Here the word we used
means, "confuse the thinking, normally resulting in a wrong decision."

I know we've finished with this a couple days ago, but if you could
check us one more time, we would appreciate it.
