This has been the subject of two relatively short threads earlier this year
in which several persons, including myself, offered different perspectives
on this passage. I've just this moment had an amazing experience using the
new "Find" engine in the latest version (4.1) of Eudora Pro. I typed in
DEDEMENA and got the following at once:

Paul S. Dixon 7/24/97	2	Matt 18:18 and the FPPPP
Carl W. Conrad 7/25/97	5	Re: Matt 18:18 and the FPPPP
Jonathan Robie 7/25/97	6	Re: Matt 18:18 and the FPPPP
Paul S. Dixon 7/26/97	8	Re: Matt 18:18 and the FPPPP
D. Anthony Storm	8/16/98	3	A Question on Mathew 18.18
Carl W. Conrad 8/17/98	8	Re: A Question on Mathew 18.18

Ward Powers 8/19/98	12	Re: A Question on Mathew 18.18

The items from July of 1997 are in the older archives at:

	http://sunsite.unc.edu/bgreek/archives

while those from this past August are in the newer archives that
list-members may enter at:

The digit(s) following the date of the message indicate the size in K of
the message.

I think it might be best to look at those messages before raising the
question anew, as at least two different viewpoints have been expressed on
the above question in those earlier threads.
