Louw and Nida (#78.49 foot note #9) state that MOGIS and MOLIS are different
forms of the same lexical item. However, BAGD lists them as two separate
words. BDF (#33) states that the relationship between these two words is
"undecided".
I am wondering what the issues and arguments are concerning this question. Is
there some sort of phonological regularity that would explain the
transformation between one of these forms and the other. Are there other issues?
