oxUs tOnos (acute) is a high tone
perispWmenos tOnos(circumflex) is a high-falling, i.e. high-low
and
barUs tOnos (grave) is a low tone.
all unaccented are low tone, so that a barus is not distinguished from
surrounding non-tone marked syllable.
it may sound strange but that's the way its done for reformed classical
pronounciation.
i expect that that would be the system that stephen daitz uses on his
commercial recordings of homer.
