Paul's Use of Kathus kai in Ephesians

In Ephesians Paul seems to use kathus kai (4:4, 17, 32; 5:2, 25, 29) as a
comparative conjunction that introduces a final or definitive ground for the
argument he is making. Do you think that this is a correct assessment of
how this is being used? Is this a typical or normal use for kathus kai?
How does this contrast with the simple use of kathus?

Thanks!
