translating imperatives

the english usage of the term "imperative" has perhaps led to somewhat of a 
misunderstanding of the greek "imperative" -- which rather more speaks an 
URGENCY than a COMMAND -- of course, a command does speakan urgency BUT an 
urgency is not always a command.
