Williams translate verses 6 and 7:

"Though He was existing in the nature of God, He did not think His being on 
an equality with God a thing to be selfishly grasped, but He laid it aside as 
He took on the nature of a slave and became like other men."

Beck translates:

"Although He was God, He decided not to take advantage of His being equal 
with God as though it were stolen goods, but He emptied Himself, made Himself 
a slave, became like other human beings."
