Generally the force of EPI- in this sort of compounding is somewhat like
that of PROS-, indicating something like "even in addition." It's really
redundant, but with something like continuation, which is what DIAMONH
means, it underscores the "continuation" of "continuity"--"ever ongoing
continuity."
