The IXTHUS is usually understood as representing the words: "Jesus Christ
God's Son Savior." Does anybody know if the THETA was originally
understood as a nominative, "God", rather than the genitive, "God's"?
In other words, is there evidence that this acrostic originally was
interpreted as representing FIVE titles of the Lord - "Jesus, Christ,
God, Son, Savior"? I thought I read this somewhere.
