Paul brings out a good point. It is not enough to have a chapter on
discourse analysis tacked on the end of a grammar (e.g., S.E. Porter Idioms,
R. Young, Intermediate, etc.). What we really need is a text that pulls
discourse analysis into the heart of the book and the pedagogy.
