One more nuance**. Since it is doubtful that the passages cited from the
Apocalypse of John 1:4, 1:8, 4:8, 11:17, 16: 5 contain direct quotations
from the OT, Jim's statement still holds. What is and is not an allusion to
the OT in the Apocalypse of John is a matter which generates debate (big
yawn) and is one good reason to ignore the bold type in the UBSGNT and the
italics in the NA27.
